Which Martial Art is Best for Women’s Self Defense?

Most martial arts are striking arts and rely on punches and kicks. There is an alternative, Grappling.  The most popular form of grappling is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu!  What is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu? Watch the video below and then read on to learn more.

Below is a common scenario involving a woman at a bar with a man that won’t take no for an answer.  What would you do?  The video demonstrates a technique that most ladies can perfect on their first day of training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. It could save your life.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is the perfect martial art style for a woman to be able to defend herself.  Most times in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, we will start on the ground, even on our back.  We learn how to maneuver and protect ourselves using leverage and technique.  How to isolate an opponents limb and use our entire body against it to incapacitate them.  We also learn various chokes and strangles that will make the attacker pass out, giving you time to escape.  Below are some videos of the Grappling Mastery Ladies learning some BJJ Techniques.
